Erano anni che non andavamo al Luna Park accanto al porto di Calata Cuneo in Oneglia. L’ora tarda ed il freddo intenso avevano appena scacciato quasi tutti i visitatori. I gestori delle attrazioni, ormai poco impegnati, ci guardavano con curiosità. Il proprietario della ruota panoramica mi ha confessato che per combattere il salino deve oliare spesso gli ingranaggi. Girare tra la bancarelle dei mercatini di Natale sotto ai portici di Oneglia è ogni anno sempre più bello. Walking through the stalls of the Christmas markets is always nice. Ad incuriosire è la splendida varietà di colori e forme che propongono gli artigiani. The wonderful variety of colors and shapes of the creations is really intriguing. Artigiani desiderosi di trasmettere la propria passione. E se insisti un po’, ti confidano anche qualche tecnica di realizzazione … molto meglio di “Paint your life”…  ed è anche in diretta! Provate voi a sgranocchiare una foglia legnosa di Phoenix! Meno male che dalla foresta del Borneo è arrivato lui che con le larve dotate di robuste mandibole macinerà per noi tutte le palme Italiane riportando il giusto equilibrio naturale!!!! That insect will sweep away all those annoying palms that are growing in Riviera for over 200 years, invading the mediterranean maquis. Finally our parks will be filled with carob, mastic, myrtle and arbutus, to the delight of the eyes and palate. Believe us, eating a leaf of Phoenix palm isn’t an enjoyable experience! Luckly, this insect came from Borneo with its larvae ready to eat all the Italian palms, bringing back the original ecosystem!!!! PS: Ovviamente c’è lotta obbligatoria contro questo insetto, quindi chi dovesse vederlo direttamente o notare palme con sintomi di attacco, Post Scriptum: It’s obviously compulsory to fight the Red Palm Weevil. La quindicesima edizione della Festa del Vino di Andora quest’anno tra le vie della frazione Molino Nuovo. The fifteenth edition of the Andora’s Wine Festival was held this year in Molino Nuovo. Moltissimi stand davano la possibilità di degustare i migliori vini liguri e del nord Italia… At the various stands you could taste the best wines of Liguria and northern Italy… …e le eccellenze gastronomiche legate al territorio. … and the many of the best products of the territory. Le piante aromatiche dell’Albenganese indispensabili per arricchire di profumi la cucina tradizionale. The aromatic plants from Albenga’s cultivations are essential to enrich with perfumes the traditional cuisine. Durante la festa si è svolto la “XII edizione del premio DEGUSTANDORA” dove una commissione di Sommelier Fisar ha assaggiato i vini portati dai produttori, decretando come primo assoluto il magnifico Passito di Vermentino di Giovanni Ardissone prodotto a Gazzelli di Chiusanico (IM).
